All the Pretty Girls Smell Like Bread

 

Hi, I’m Jenn Knopp...heavy on the K....the baker, dough-wrangler, recipe tinkerer, and sole employee behind Rose Rock Bakery in Cashion, Oklahoma.

What started as a love for sourdough turned into a small hometown bakery built on simple ingredients, long fermentations, and the belief that really good bread just needs a bit of time. Around here, everything is baked in small-ish batches with "patience", natural fermentation, and a healthy respect for flour on the counter (and everywhere else) and butter in the fridge.

Sourdough is the heart of what I do. From classic crusty loaves to creative seasonal flavors, every loaf starts with a living starter and the slow process that gives sourdough its flavor, texture, and character. Along the way, you’ll also find a few sweet treats, muffins, and special bakes that make their way out of my kitchen and into the community.

Rose Rock Bakery is proudly local, named after Oklahoma’s state rock and inspired by life in a small town where neighbors know each other and good food gets shared...which is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE thing to do!

When I’m not baking, you’ll find me at my 40 hour a week job as a pediatric quality nurse, at the baseball fields, or football fields, or basketball courts, experimenting with new recipes, shamelessly laughing at my own  jokes, or trying to keep flour from taking over my entire kitchen.
